happy mother's day + friday links

A few links to kick off the weekend...

Looks like I'm dairy-free for the long haul. These sesame soba noodles and grilled salmon are becoming regulars on our dinner table.

The delicious simplicity of rice and beans.

Hello, sandal weather.

My current beer fave: Go to IPA.

Loving this necklace.

Happy Mother's Day to my amazing Mom, and to all the wonderful and inspiring mamas in my life.

goodbye to all that...hair

I am in seriously in love with my new haircut.

After years of living with and loving long hair, it was time for a change. I showed my hairdresser, Alise, a photo of Michelle Williams for inspiration. Alise worked her magic.

And now I'm ready for summer.

a few weekend links

YUM.
I turn 35 in November. Gah! I think I'm going to make this ice cream cake to celebrate. Nothing says happy birthday like an ice cream cake, right?!

I'm seriously crushing on these Ali Golden bags. My friend Melissa has one and every time I see her I covet it...

Saying goodbye at preschool has been a challenge. I appreciated this Motherlode post on easing the transition and separation anxiety.

This adorable book is one of our favorites at the moment.

Can't wait to go to this new Oakland beer hall.

Fall is in the air. The dusklight sweater.

My dear friend LA got me these Seaworthy earrings for Christmas and they're currently in heavy rotation. I love them.
Aren't these Seaworthy necklaces lovely too?

for ever.

I don't have any tattoos. It's really an issue with commitment. Don't get me wrong, some tattoos I like on some people. But I just don't know if I could ever commit to getting something inked on my body. For Ever.

I get that people look at their tattoos and think back to who they were at that pivotal time. Why they chose that thing or word or symbol or whatever they chose. But I look back at pictures of myself from 15 years ago and think what was I thinking about my outfits and my hair. Thankfully outfit choices from the late 90's don't last forever and hair grows out.

That's why I like Tattly tattoos: coolio designs (by awesome designers like Julia Rothman, James Victore, Chris Glass, and Jessi Arrington) and they don't last FOR EVER.

After admiring the Bella hat online we decided to head to our local Goorin Brothers shoppe and try on hats over the weekend.

lust list #5

This too cute Lamb No. 3 print over at 20x200 is...well, you know, cute. The piggie print is pretty darn cute too.

This amazing white+wood Brooklyn brownstone, found over on Seesaw.

My co-working and friend, Kim, rocks her navy Worishofers at work often. They're kind of granny and kind of awesome at the same time. I think I might have to get a pair.

Pretty much everyone on the internet has expressed her adoration for this Moop Organic Market Bag. I still love it, and am considering plopping down the $ for one of my own.

Hello, comfy-looking adorable dress!
